Dance Fest featured in Milwaukee PBS Black Nouveau

Black Nouveau discusses the Milwaukee Urban League's century of service to the community, and profiles Jacarrie Carr and his "Kicks 4 Kids" project. Black Nouveau also looks at NO Studio's Inaugural Dance Fest at the Sherman Phoenix, and sits down with MPS Superintendent Dr. Keith Posley.

Black Nouveau is an award-winning program that tells stories of triumph and transformation in Milwaukee's African-American community through profiles and interviews of the city's change makers. The program airs monthly and is hosted by veteran reporter and Milwaukee native Joanne Williams.

On September 5th, 2019, episode #2711 aired on television, featuring the story behind Nō Studios Dance Fest. The event, which took place on July 20th, 2019, brought dancers from the acclaimed NYC-based Ailey II - the second company of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater - to perform alongside an eclectic mix of Milwaukee’s top dance troupes. Each representing a unique form of self-expression and performing together for the first time, local dance groups included Danceworks Performance MKE, Ton Ko-Thi Children's Performing Ensemble, The Milwaukee Irish Dance Company, Signature Dance Company, Water Street Dance Milwaukee , and WoLF Studios
