Discover a bit about our Nō Backstage guest, Colin Rich!

1. How do you describe yourself as an artist?
As a film and television editor, I interpret footage to build a compelling emotional journey.

2. What's the best part of your job?
Two things. Firstly, adding a layer to the project that can only be done through editing. That is to say, elevating what has been written and filmed through the art of editing. Secondly, finishing a cut! Before the cut is finished, it's just footage. After the cut, it's a complete movie, episode, or video.

3. What's the best advice that you can give to someone who is exploring your career?
Firstly, stay curious. Secondly, be open and patient. Thirdly, advocate for yourself.

4. What does socializing with purpose mean to you?
Socializing with purpose means taking our most precious and unique assets: our personality, imagination, expertise, experiences, point-of-view; and using them in a way that reaches out to others.
