1. How do you describe yourself as an artist?
I use visuals and sound to help convey an emotional journey to an audience.
2. What's the best part of your job?
I’ve been fortunate to work on projects with some of my all time favorite filmmakers. I learn something new about the collaborative process every day. It’s like going to film school from a different perspective over and over again.
3. What's the best advice that you can give to someone who is exploring your career?
Learn as much as you can with the tools and tutorials at your disposal online, using Adobe Premiere or Avid. Organization is key to starting out as an assistant editor. Be willing to put in the hard work and dedication. It will not go unnoticed when the opportunity arises for you to move up.
4. What does socializing with purpose mean to you?
It’s all about community, whether professional or personal. Supporting one another and sharing ideas for the greater good enhances all of our lives. I’ve learned a lot from some generous people along the way, and take pride in doing what I can in return as an advocate for others.
