Rachel Skipor

Rachel Skipor is a dance artist originally from West Chicago, Illinois. She trained in the Chicagoland area with additional studies across the United States and Europe before beginning her career with project-based creations in New York, Seattle, and Philadelphia. She has performed works by Dwight Rhoden, Jae Man Joo, and Clement Mensah to name a few.



In 2019, she was granted a residency with the Creative Gesture’s Collective Composition Lab for Music and Dance at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, which was the catalyst for her continued path in exploring artistic synergy through improvisation and collaboration. She holds a degree in Health Sciences with a minor in anthropology from Arizona State University and has interned with Magda Kaczmarska, director of Stories in the Moment, to explore creative aging through dance for those with dementia.
